Lissa Halls Johnson
Lissa Halls Johnson has been working in the publishing industry for over thirty years. Beginning as a fiction writer, she wrote and published sixteen novels before moving on to memoir and nonfiction. Teaching writing and keynoting at conferences naturally flowed from there. Soon she began to edit, starting with creating two book series, for which she hired teams of writers and guided them to create cohesive story arcs between each book in the series. From there she moved to editing fiction for publishers in the industry, some of her authors well-known names.
To date, Lissa has edited over sixty books and has contributed to a number of book compilations, magazines, and radio shows. She has spoken or taught well over one hundred seminars, talks, and keynotes, from small events to fundraisers to national conferences. Her edited books have garnered star reviews from Publisher's Weekly and have won awards in fiction categories.
